The Hydropolis Underwater Hotel and Resort was a proposed hotel, designed by Prof. Roland Dieterle that would have been the world's first underwater luxury resort. It was planned to be situated 66 feet (20 m) below the surface of the Persian Gulf, just off Jumeira Beach in Dubai, and projected to cost $300 million to construct. The underwater hotel would have been one of the most expensive hotels on the earth. The hotel was conceived in 2006, was delayed in 2008, and as of June 2010 no construction or planned construction has occurred. Dubai has become notorious in recent years for its fabulously modern architecture. It seems the wildest architectural dreams become reality here. The Hydropolis furthers this notion. At a cost of some $550 million, the luxury resort is being built on the Persian Gulf floor – 66 feet below the surface. The guests and visitors will come from the land station at the beach in Dubai Jumuirah. There they can visit a high-tech cinema presentation of developments in ocean ecosystems and the building block in the ocean. Airfields in the shape of the waves will be eye-catching design and it also houses the staff of the Hydropolis, room marine ecological research, conference centers, car parks and even where surgical practice aesthetic.

We walked down to the ocean that was quite with only the sound of the rolling waves and birds. It was wonderful. As you all know one of my favorite sounds in the world in the ocean.
